Primary Causes of Tendon Inflammation
Tendonitis is most often caused by repetitive movements or overuse of a particular tendon, especially during work, sports, or daily activities. Sudden increases in physical activity, improper technique, or inadequate stretching can also contribute to tendon irritation and inflammation. In some cases, age-related degeneration or underlying medical conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, may increase the risk of developing tendonitis.
